Welcome to my webpage!
I am a political scientist with interests in civil conflict, post conflict governance and state building, primarily in India and Nepal. My broader research interest includes comparative political economy of development, informal institutions, and political parties, specifically various Left political parties in South Asia.
Currently, I teach Public Policy and Political Development at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University. I’m also an Associate Research Scholar at the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace. I received my PhD in Government from Cornell University in 2017. During 2017-19 academic years, I was the postdoctoral research scholar at the department of political science, Columbia University.
My book titled Farewell to Arms: How Maoist Rebels Retire without Getting Killed is forthcoming from Oxford University Press (Modern South Asia Series).
